Chef at Flåmstova Restaurant and Furukroa Café

We are looking for you to join our kitchen team as a chef at the popular Flåmstova Restaurant and Furukroa Café.

Flåm is one of Norway's most popular travel destinations, located in the spectacular UNESCO World Heritage area around the Nærøyfjord. Here you will find a wide range of activities and unforgettable experiences.

We are looking for someone who

• Is passionate about cooking

• Has relevant education and/or experience as a chef

• Speaks a Scandinavian language and/or English (an advantage)

• Has knowledge of food allergies and safe food handling

• Is flexible, hardworking, and reliable

• Enjoys working in an informal and multicultural team

• Is able to work day, evening, and weekend shifts according to a schedule

• Has valid work permit in Norway (EU-citizens only)

Your responsibilities will include

• Follow internal routines and procedures

• Correct handling of food, equipment, and kitchen tools

• Prepare lunch and dinner according to the menu and guest preferences

• Always maintain a high standard of quality and service

• Work efficiently and accurately during busy periods

Accommodation
The company offers staff accommodation to our team members. Rooms may be private or shared, depending on availability. Common areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, living spaces, and outdoor areas are shared with colleagues. Living in staff accommodation is a social and multicultural experience. We are therefore looking for people who are respectful, tolerant, patient, and cooperative, and who feel comfortable sharing spaces and everyday routines with others.

This type of accommodation is best suited for those who enjoy a community-style living environment. Rent is deducted directly from your salary and includes electricity, internet and bed linens.
